This Kentucky Lake vacation rental is next to our second cabin: "Cabin on the Cove." If your family get-a-way runs into a family reunion, or ends up being a vacation with another family - we have all the rooms you need (up to 25 people total). There’s room for everyone at the Bar that we call Cap and June's Saloon.
Guests in both Lake Kentucky homes can use the huge dock - during summer you can swim off of the dock. Your boats are safe thanks to the protected cove, just follow the stone path 150 steps from the cabin. There’s a new shared fire-pit for evening ghost stories, or planning the next day’s adventure.
Cabin time at these Kentucky Lake Get-A-Ways brings you "back to nature." Point your Kentucky adventure compass in any direction and find an activity you will all enjoy. See a Country Music Show at the Kentucky Opry; Putt-putt around at Maggie’s Jungle Golf & Jungle Run (you can also ride in open safari car and see animals); spend an afternoon in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, “The Village Between The Lakes” - did you know it is the only Western Kentucky Community where golf carts are legally permitted on the streets and you can rent a golf cart from Mid-America Customs.
Since you book with us, local experts, finding pontoon boats and Alumacraft fishing boats for rent is a breeze. Moor's Marina is right down the road—great for daily rentals. We can help you enjoy Kentucky Lake - made from the Tennessee River which flows right past our cove. Like to shop? We can tell you want “Main Streets” are best.
Things to remember: The lake’s water level in January is lower, but 4 feet higher all summer long. Expect 5 feet of depth at the dock so you can swim right here. The cove can get shallow after Labor Day; you’ll need to navigate over a small sandbar at the cove entrance (18”).

We had a wonderful 5 days! The property is beautiful, owners are great to work with, and the lake goes on forever! I would highly recommend this to everyone! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! Jessica H.
My family loved it! Can’t wait to go back. Jeanne M.
A beautiful log home that has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The owner is friendly and easy to work with. Doug C.
Tim’s home is a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen was very well stocked and the appliances looked to be new. Everything was clean and worked. We loved the pictures and knick knacks with the descriptions with them. Beds were really comfortable and the master bedroom is awesome . You’ll be amazed when you walk in to the great room. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing your home with us Tim !
We have rented this awesome home on Ky. Lake for 12-13 years during Quilt Week in Paducah. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and room to quilt in the evenings. We have machines set up on the dining room table and all kind of foods covering the island. We stay for 4 nights and and drive in to Paducah for the show. It is a 40 minute drive but the comfort and quiet of the area make up for the drive. Fishing is good and we cook whenever we want to. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing time! Leslie B

Back in 1996, my wife Jane and I choose a half acre site on Kentucky Lake to build our (eventual) retirement home, Cabin on the Cove. Until that day arrives, we decided to share this home with families looking for a summer vacation filled with swimming, skiing and family memories on the lake. It was not an easy decision, but we decided if we could have other families use our home and enjoy it as much as we do, then we would let guests stay.
In 2002, we purchased the lot next door and built a second home -- now larger groups can still vacation together! Whether you rent one or both, this is your chance to come and enjoy life on Kentucky Lake. You’ll likely become one of those “tradition” families/groups that come back every year!
