Searching for a quiet get-a-way on beautiful Kentucky Lake? A 2400 square feet vacation rental with a shared dock to keep your boat and water toys? 118 feet of water frontage gives your group plenty of room to line your chairs and experience the lake.
There’s plenty to brag about when it comes to the open & airy Main floor: Hardwood floors, a "great room" with fireplace, game room with Air hockey and card table / Bumper Pool, kitchen with a breakfast bar. The 2 decks overlook the scenic cove.
Sleeping arrangements: Master Bedroom has a King Bed and Jacuzzi spa. Surfing Bedroom has a Queen Bed. Navy Bedroom has 2 Twin Beds.
Guests always comment about the great view of the cove and lake from the screened in porch and walkout basement. Our location is a great base-camp near remote hiking trails like the Honker Bay trail, and not-so-remote trials like the Grand Rivers Walking Trail.
Next to this Cabin on the Cove is our second Kentucky Lake cottage, Lake ‘n Logs - if your family vacation expands to a reunion or multi-family trip, rent both cottages! The dock is in front of The Cabin on the Cove, but Lake ‘n Logs guests use the same 20’ by 15’ dock.
Marshall County is filled with surprises! Country Music Shows at the Kentucky Opry in Benton; Grand Rivers “The Village Between The Lakes” unique shopping; the Elk & Bison Prairie in Land Between The Lakes; the North/South hiking trail in Land Between The Lakes; designated horseback riding trails, Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area, even Branson/Nashville caliber Shows at the Badgett Theatre, and much more.
Our Kentucky Lake cottages are only a few miles from lakeside Resorts and marinas where you can rent your lake toys to keep at your dock. Remember your fishing gear too! Kentucky Lake is famous for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and crappie. Your kids will be hooked on catching bluegills off the dock. Save a day or two for activity off the water: Need biking, kayaking and hiking gear? Since you book direct you get advice from a local! We know Wood-N-Wave Bicycles and Watersports has what you need. We can give you tips on how to safely explore Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley - the largest body of water between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico!
Things to remember: The lake’s water level in January is lower, but 4 feet higher all summer long. Expect 5 feet of depth at the dock so you can swim right here. The cove can get shallow after Labor Day; you’ll need to navigate over a small sandbar at the cove entrance (18”).

The house is in a great spot with a lovely dock and deck. The water was perfect swimming. The great outside areas meant we spent almost all our time outside. That said, there was plenty of space inside too when we avoiding a storm or two. Moors Marina is super close and have fairly priced rental boats. The house shares a dock with the other property but wasn't a real issue. Thanks for opening up your house for our Fourth of July celebration! Peter H.
This was a wonderful house to stay in. Close to the water, clean, great owners to work with, and plenty of parking. Very steep driveway. We had a wonderful time here and will be coming back. Quiet getaway with lots to do. Jessica H

Spacious, beautiful scenery and although surrounded by other homes on the lake, is quiet and peaceful. The owners provide bedding and basic kitchen and bathroom necessities. The fireplace is large and inviting. Great games, books, wifi, air hockey, TV's, etc. also provided. My family has stayed here at least ten times. Pam W

Back in 1996, my wife Jane and I choose a half acre site on Kentucky Lake to build our (eventual) retirement home, Cabin on the Cove. Until that day arrives, we decided to share this home with families looking for a summer vacation filled with swimming, skiing and family memories on the lake. It was not an easy decision, but we decided if we could have other families use our home and enjoy it as much as we do, then we would let guests stay.
In 2002, we purchased the lot next door and built a second home -- now larger groups can still vacation together! Whether you rent one or both, this is your chance to come and enjoy life on Kentucky Lake. You’ll likely become one of those “tradition” families/groups that come back every year!
